USHG Students’ Guild Leadership participated in Patriotism Training Program organized by The National Patriotism Corps (NPC) exclusively for university student leaders, that took place at Nkumba University from 3rd to 17th January 2025. The training objective was to instil patriotism, leadership skills, and national values in young leaders, equipping them with the knowledge and tools to serve their communities and contribute to Uganda’s development.

The program was spearheaded by Hellen Seku, Commissioner of the National Secretariat for Patriotism Clubs (NSPC) and Private Secretary to the President on Youth Affairs, who was the Chief Organizer of this impactful event.
This event reflects the government’s dedication to promoting national unity and empowering student leaders to become ambassadors of patriotism and change within their institutions and communities.

USHG Student Leadership were led by Mr. Bernard Opiro the University Guild President. The Student Leaders acknowledged that the training was educative and instilled principles of patriotism, socio-economic transformation and democracy. They further shared the skills of positive thinking and optimism and decision making based on facts
