On Thursday April 3, 2025, University of the Sacred Heart Gulu Hosted Gulu Archdiocesan Education Stakeholders Meeting convoked and hosted by His Grace Raphael P’Mony Wokorach, Gulu Archbishop.
The meeting which was organized under the theme “Evangelization Through Education, Revitalizing Small Christian Communities and Strategies for Self-Reliance for Improved Schools/Institutional Performances.

This meeting was attended by all heads of Catholic founded institutions/schools, all Chairpersons Governing Council/BOG/SMC/CMC and PTA, all priests and the religious of Gulu Archdiocese working under Gulu Cathedral Deanery.

During this meeting, the Archbishop His Grace Raphael P’Mony Wokorach presented on the theme Evangelization through Education – Our shared responsibility.
The meeting recommended the adoption of the use of data to inform decision, documentation of processes, development of tools to monitor and report academic programs and establishment of diocesan policy review team among others.

The Keynote Speaker Prof. Alex Okot, the Director of Uganda Martyrs University(UMU) Ngetta Campus shared his experiences and gave tips to education institutions and their leadership. He focused alot on the role of School Management Committees(SMCs) and Boards as well as the role of Headteachers.

The Vice Chancellor of University of the Sacred Heart Gulu(USHG) Rev. Fr. Dr. Jino O Mwaka,PhD in his remarks gave a background of the University and growth prospects. He also announced that His Grace Raphael P'Mony Wokorach shall be installed as the Second(2nd) Chancellor of University of the Sacred Heart Gulu(USHG) on Friday May 2, 2025.
