USHG students win big in the regional social business design competition

Six students of the University of the Sacred Heart Gulu won a cash prize of one million five hundred thousand (Ugx 1,500,000) after emerging first runners-up in the northern regional “SOCIAL BUSINESS DESIGN COMPETITION” 

The competition which took place on 24th March 2023 was organized by Kampala International University (KIU) in partnership with Yunus & You Foundation,  focuses on training and empowerment of youth on financial literacy and fundamentals of Social Business while building a foundation for the establishment of 3zero Clubs ( Zero Poverty, Zero carbon emission and Zero unemployment among the youth).

Our students from the University of the Sacred Heart Gulu presented a social business idea of establishing a Youth Social Centre with the aim of promoting the health and general well-being of Youth through the prevention and treatment of alcohol, drugs/substance, and other addictions.
