USHG Mourns Dr. Ruthann Smith Anderson
We have learned with sadness of the passing of Dr. Ruthann Smith Andrson which happened on March 20, 2022. Dr. Anderson was a Professor and Director of the Counselling and Human Development Program at Walsh University in Canton, Ohio- USA. She was very instrumental in laying the foundation for the counseling programs currently being offered at the University of the Sacred Heart Gulu.
On several occasions, she led teams of counselors and students from the United States to conduct counseling training programs for the population in Gulu. Beneficiaries of her programs included teachers, nurses, priests, and our students.
Her last visit to the University of the Sacred Heart Gulu in May 2016 is still vivid in our minds and hearts. Dr. Anderson's legacy will surely live on.
May God grant her soul eternal rest
