The University Governing Council is the executive body of the University of the Sacred Heart Gulu. The Council is the principal executive and policy making body with the responsibility for the administration of the University, for the planning of its work, and for the management of its resources. It formulates the general policy of the University; gives general guidelines to the administration and academic staff of the University on matters relating to the operations of the University; takes all necessary decisions conducive to the fulfilment of the objectives and functions of the University. The membership of University Council consists of men and women from inside as well as outside the university. The Chancellor is the Chairman of the University Council.
