The University of Sacred Heart Gulu, as part of its Community Outreach Initiatives, shall be conducting Data Analysis Training using R, R Studio and Microsoft Excel in the months of February and March 2019
ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY
The University of the Sacred Heart Gulu (USHG) is a new University accredited by the Uganda National Council for Higher Education. It is located in Gulu Municipality, 3 kilometres away from Gulu town, in For God Parish, on airfield road next to St Joseph’s Cathedral Gulu

DATA ANALYSIS TRAINING:
University of the Sacred Heart Gulu through the Carnegie African Diaspora Fellowship program will be conducting a training in Data Analysis using R, R Studio and Excel. R Studio is a Statistical & Qualitative Data Analysis Application.
The training is for a short period of one (01) week beginning 25th February 2019 to 1st March 2019 at a fee of sixty thousand shillings(60,000 UGX)
Topics to be covered during the training includes
1) Introduction to R, R Studio and Excel.
2) Introduction to descriptive statistics using R, RStudio and Excel.
3) Introduction to Inference statistics using R, R Studio and Excel.
4) How to report results of statistical analysis in Research to make decisions.
The above training will be facilitated by Dr.Stephen Opio.
Dr. Stephen Opio, is a Bio-informatics Research Scientist from Ohio State University in Columbus Ohio (USA) and a Data Scientist/Consultant at Patira Data Science and an affiliated Scientist at Bioscience East and Central Africa- ILRI in Nairobi.
