BACHELOR OF INFORMATION SYSTEMS
Admission into the first year for the Bachelor of Information Systems (BIS) is through any of the three avenues, the Direct Entry Scheme, the Mature Age Scheme, and the Diploma Holders Scheme.
- The Direct Entry Scheme.
A candidate must have a UACE or its equivalent with credit in English and Mathematics at the Ordinary level.
- The Mature Entry Scheme.
Admission may also be through the Mature Age Entry Scheme after passing the examinations set by the University of the Sacred Heart Gulu.
- Diploma Holders Entry Scheme.
Holders of diplomas from recognized institutions can be admitted to the program. Applicants should have obtained at least a Second Class (Lower Division) diploma in any Computing aspects or any other Diploma with Business or development with at least a Credit Pass in Mathematics and English at ordinary level. The University may set pre-entry examinations for diploma holders.
- Admission to other Years. Admission other than to the first year of the program shall be determined by Senate and approved by the University Council.
- Credit Transfer. Credit transfer for students who have studied in other institutions shall be in accordance with the policy on credit transfer approved by the National Council for Higher Education. Students shall be considered for credit transfer according to procedures approved by Senate and Council.
