The Academic Registrar, University of the Sacred Heart Gulu, invites applications for admission to the below Academic Programmes for the 2019/2020 Academic Year.

University of the Sacred Heart Gulu (USHG) is a private institution dedicated to academic excellence in liberal arts and educational sciences. The University has a strong institutional commitment to Community Outreach and engagement with the local community and the larger world community in the understanding of humanity. USHG is accredited by Uganda National Council for Higher Education

Location: University of the Sacred Heart Gulu is situated in the western part of Gulu Municipality at Bardege Division near St. Joseph Catholic Cathedral which is about three kilometres along Gulu-Juba road. The area is commonly called ‘For God’

Academic Programmes

UNIVERSITY OF THE SACRED HEART GULU offers Two Academic Programmes as follows

  • Bachelor of Counselling Psychology
  • Bachelor of Information Systems
  1. Direct Entry Scheme (‘A’ level leavers)

  1. Diploma Entry Scheme (those applying using diploma certificates)

The minimum requirement is credit or second class diploma in the relevant field from a recognized institution.

  1. Degree Entry Scheme (those applying using degree certificates)

The minimum requirement is a degree in the relevant field from recognized institution.

Completed application forms should be submitted to the Office of the Academic Registrar with evidence of payment of non-refundable application fee of Shs 50,000/= (fifty thousand shillings only) excluding bank charges for East Africans and US$ 30.00 for non-East Africans. Application fees should be paid in the following bank account:

Applications for admission to University of the Sacred Heart Gulu is open. Applicants should indicate whether they want to join the university in the August intake or January intake. Those who wish to join the University in the August intake are advised to submit their applications by the end of June 2019.
